The Bhutan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI) invited the media editors/producers and reporters for the launch of the quarterly Private Sector Press Conference at BCCI Conference Hall on December 27, 2024. The press conference discussed the following issues which are pertinent to the growth of the private sector:
- Economic Stimulus Program (ESP) funding for the Private Sector.
- Status of the Business Regulatory Process Review published as per the Executive Order of the Prime Minister.
- Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) for the Private Sector.
- Government’s Engagement Plan for the Private Sector in the 13th Five-Year Plan.
The Private Sector Press Conference is initiated under the Voice for Green Change Partnership (V4GCP) Project funded by the European Union under the theme of “CSOs as Actors in Governance and Development.” The project is led by the Handicrafts Association of Bhutan (HAB) along with BCCI, ABTO, HRAB, BAOWE, SABAH and European Association for Local Democracy (ALDA).
